Sweet Melissa Cake Boutique in Middletown

Their cake pops are HUGE! Double the size of Starbucks ones. The shop is super cute and very clean.

My mom has a sweet tooth and frequently visits Sweet Melissa’s. I went there for the first time yesterday to pick up cupcakes and the service was very cold and lacking. Since I wanted to confirm that it wasn’t my imagination or that the ladies behind the counter were having an off day, I called and confirmed with my mom that the unenthusiastic customer service was the norm. So great cupcakes, bad customer service.

Recently I submitted a request for a custom barbie doll cake, my family and I were celebrating my mother’s 100th birthday. I provided Melissa with a picture of what I envisioned along with the color scheme and some extra details. When I arrived at the bakery on the morning of 02.22.20, I was awestruck the cake was beautiful, Melissa, hit the nail on the head with this cake. The artwork and details were beautiful, the lemon cake and lemon filling with cream cheese icing were delicious, not only were we excited to have the opportunity to celebrate such a historical event, the cake was a show stopper. Thank you, Melissa, well done!!
